Kuaishou was founded in 2011 and is a Chinese short-video and live-streaming platform. Its in-house Kling video model launched in 2024 with text-to-video and image-to-video support, opened to public use.
Why it matters
It made video generation a product ordinary users could actually use, putting a Chinese team at a practically usable stage in text-to-video earlier than most.
